Afgan air strikes hit alleged Taliban gathering in Kunduz city of Afghanistan -April 3, 2018
The strike hit a mosque or madrasah where a graduation ceremony was taking place, and dozens of civilians were killed and wounded. According to latest reports, the death toll rose to at least 70 people including madrasah students.
69 people were killed in Zamfara and Kaduna states of Nigeria -March 30, 2018
In the last 72 hours, 69 people were killed in Zamfara and Kaduna states of Nigeria by unidentified gunmen in separate incidents. According to local residents, a group of bandits violently attacked and opened fire on the villagers. Besides regular Boko Haram attacks it is a new kind of communal violence in Nigeria. 
Five million people threatened with deportation in India -March 30, 2018
In the eastern Indian state of Assam, in the framework of the National Citizenship Registration, which is under preparation, there are about five million people threatened with deportation in case they are not able to provide documentation which proves that their ancestors lived there before 1971. It is stated that for the first time in sixty years, the update process is aimed at identifying and deporting unregistered immigrants from Bangladesh. But it is likely to create a similar process of Rohingya for immigrants from Bangladesh living in the region for many years, and Muslims.

90% of Rohingya population of Northern Arakan fled to Bangladesh -March 2, 2018
According to the Irrawaddy which is a publishing group founded by the Burmese exiles in Thailand, and INGOs 90% of Rohingya population of Northern Arakan fled to Bangladesh by Myanmar’s clearance operations. The Irrawaddy collected the information from regional statistics reports which are dated October 2017, from the General Administrative Department and United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. According to a comparison between previous and current statistics it is estimated that only 79.038 (%10) Rohingya remained in Maungdaw, Buthidaung, and Rathedaung.

The Afghan government and the Afghan Humanitarian Relief Community requested 430 million USD aid for 2018 in order to help needy people in Afghanistan. 2.8 million people would be provided health, food, drinking water and hygiene with this amount of aid. As a result of repatriation process, 700,000 Afghan refugees returned from Pakistan in 2017, while 400,000 displaced due to internal conflicts in Afghanistan.

The unhealthy conditions of the camps brought back diphtheria and similar epidemics that had disappeared in Bangladesh many years ago. The Bangladesh government launched a vaccination campaign for Rohingya children aged between 6 weeks to 6 years old, living in 12 camps, with the support of UNICEF, the World Health Organization and other international organizations.

The five-year-long war in Yemen has killed more than 5.000 children and left almost 400.000 of them malnourished. Yemen war started in March 2015 and more than 3 million children were born in this war-torn country. The UN children agency said that over 11 million children (nearly every child in Yemen) were in need of humanitarian assistance.
Reform Package Protested in Greece -January 17, 2018
Tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered in front of the Greek parliament to protest the government due to reform package approved by the parliament which restricts the right to strike. The reform package of about 100 points makes it difficult for syndicates to take strike decisions. The syndicates will now have to get a vote of half of their members in order to be able to make a decision to leave the job. According to the old regulation, approval of 20 percent of the members was sufficient for a strike decision. The law also facilitates the seizure of mortgaged properties and anticipates cuts in payments made to families. Since 2010, there have been 50 general strikes in the country to protest against the requirements of international creditors.
